Monday News You Can Use

“While positive thinking doesn’t always work, negative thinking, unfortunately, almost always does.” ~ Gary Mack, Mind Gym

  • Headline of the week 3,000,000 million first time homebuyers shut out of the market (very misleading headline!) It is actually 300,000 a year for 10 years. Still a sizable number but less than 6% of the market vice over 50%!
  • Send this to your real estate buyer leads: “I want to be your Sherpa. I know the hoods, I know great lenders, I’ve done this before, I know what to look for and look out for, and I can help your find the right home, in the right time, for the right price.”
  • New report says renting may be better than buying in certain cities. And becoming more attractive in all cities. Not definitive but you should know about it!
  • Why prices will keep going up national news: All markets are local – make a prediction and publish it to you clients.
  • Inman take on Zillow Offers; the comments are as good as the article: I especially like the click-bait comment!
Mind Hack of the Week

For the next 7 weeks think this not that thoughts:

Not this: Thinking that you can’t develop in something. All things are hard at the beginning, messy in the middle and beautiful when mastered.

Think This: Whatever it is, you can always develop in it, even if it’s simply figuring out how to do it more efficiently or differently. If calling people is hard; allow yourself to laugh and flub up, to say I don’t know and to experience success juts calling two or three people a day (make one a friend.)

Stick with it for a few months and watch your progress!

App of the week:

Anyone using this? Looks comprehensive and they swear its easy to use.
