This same stock has since gone as high as $38 a share, which is 40% higher than the $27 IPO.

Why are these institutions investing billions into buying real estate franchises? It’s simple; these investors place bets on stocks that make them money. And the only way they make money is if YOU make money.   They are counting on you doing better.

Those of us in the real estate business have had an interesting last 5 years and many of you are now seeing sustained signs of recovery.  Economist Lawrence Yun of the National Association of Realtors states that we should see “continued price growth” as a result of the shrinking inventories most of the country is experiencing.  Job growth and consumer confidence is up and increasing. Interest rates are still at historic lows. Unemployment rates are falling.   Builders built fewer houses than the market demanded. In 2005 2.5 million homes were built (too many). In 2012 only 600,000 were built (too few). Currently, we need somewhere between 1.3 and 1.6 million homes to keep up with population growth. Excess supply and inventory will cover this shortfall for another year but we are seeing builders’ gear up to increase their supply.

We could go on and on with examples; but the bottom line is, all the signs point to 2013 being the BEST year in real estate sales in a very long time. 

The time to prepare for what that means to you is NOW.

2013 represents a unique opportunity for you. It’s a chance to sell more houses, with more EASE, and at higher prices before the general public starts deciding to get their real estate licenses (anyone remember 2004 to 2006?).
